![]() Never give up and keep your ears warm ![]() Fall 2008 |
...that summer days are quickly coming to an end. It hardly seems possible as I didn't get all the things that I had planned accomplished. Ah well! However, I did get seven - count' em 7 - sweaters finished for upcoming publications with a few hats tossed in here and there...needless to say, the garden suffered a bit but I am playing catch-up having just transplanted two standard lilac bushes which were failing in a shadier locale. A bit 'o' sun and a dollop of peat-manure mix should help the patients along, she said, crossing her fingers. I swear they understand me - that's about the only thing I have in common with Prince Charles. One feels that an interesting knitting season is in the works. Knits are really huge this fall, more than usual. The sisters Rodarte have outdone themselves - but fashion meister Alexander Wang has truly dominated the mid-level retail scene. Even I succumbed to his black angora jacket. BUT nothing compares to a work that falls off one's own needles...and to that we say, "get to work"! |
