    summer knitting...
    is a time to revel in the glorious shop offerings in linen
    and cotton yarn. At the moment I am working with
    Classic Elite's Provence, a lustrous cotton
    that comes in vibrant colors. Incredibly yummy. I just
    love the fiber's sheen.

    I have also started to do some promotional work for
     cowlgirls  - last month, I spent a lovely
    afternoon at the Brooklyn Public Library with the newly
    formed Brooklyn Fiber Arts Guild - great bunch of folks
    there and so enthusiastic. So much energy. Scooted out
    to Jackson Hole, Wyoming to visit Knit-on-Pearl - great
     shop and amazing scenery; what a grand country we live
     in..

     cowlgirls  is already listed on Amazon - it's a
    collection of 40 cowls and other assorted knitted
    neckwear. Each pattern has something
    different to offer or an idea that you might not
    have considered before, be it the shape, coloration,
    function or perhaps most importantly, the styling - i.e.
    how to wear it, especially to create a new or fresh
    look. A cowl is a cowl, but even better are two cowls
    layered around the neck! Why not?

    So keep your eyes peeled for this new collection
    as the Fall approaches. The official publication date is
    October 2010 - but who know it might pop up in your
    local bookstore even sooner?!
