CO 12 sts dividing them between 3-dpn  to beg work ITR.
    Rnd 1 and all odd rnds: k
    Rnd 2: *k1, m1 - rep from * around - 18 sts
    Rnd 4: *k2, m1 – rep from * around - 24 sts
    Rnd 6: *k3, m1 – rep from * around - 30 sts
   
Cont in this pat, rep rnds 1 and 2, adding a st before each m1
    - until you have completed the rnd where the k sts before the m1s
    number 7 (8) sts: - 54 (60) sts.

   k for 6 in:5 cm  from top of crown

    brim
      Change colors and begin to work back and forth - leaving an
      opening - in the garter stitch for (2¾, 3)in: (7, 8) cm
  
   BO loosely

    finishing
   Sew in ends, tacking up the brim where it is split.
   Using a tapestry needle and a double-strand of yarn, wind
   yarn around the split intersection as if to form the middle of the bow
   created by the upturned edges.
